The 1408 Digital Deskphone offers 8 administrable buttons with LED signalling and provides support for hands-free (speakerphone). This model is wall-mountable and black in color. The 8 administrable buttons, each with a red and a green LED and paper labels are designed for users with the need to see many extensions at a glance and dial with one fingertip. The state-of-the-art backlit graphical displays also shows letters from complex languages. The 1408 offers the most important functions via hardkey, three contextual softkeys and a headset jack.

The Avaya 1416 Digital Deskphone includes the features found only in higher end, more expensive, enterprise class telephones all at an attractive price point. These features include a bright, backlit display, support for multiple call appearances, 2 way speakers, dual lamp LEDs, fixed feature keys, and a context sensitive user interface with soft keys. The display of the Avaya 1416 has an adjustable viewing angle and displays additional caller related information to ease call handling. The Avaya 1416 supports 16 line appearances / feature keys on the phone itself and a 32-button expansion model can be added which provides access to a total of 48 feature keys or speed dial buttons.
